MEET BISHOP SEALS
Bishop Dwane Seals was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He moved to Hampton, Virginia. He has been a member of the Messiah Center family since November 1986 where he was trained and licensed into ministry service and ordained as an Elder.
Bishop Seals is a gifted teacher of the Word of God as well as an effective administrator. He humbly accepted the elevation to the office of Pastor of the Messiah Center in July 2009 after the retirement of his Pastor and mentor of 20 years, Dr. David Wade, Jr.
Bishop Seals has a burden for Kingdom Leadership as taught by the Lord in the Scriptures. He authored his first book in 2017 entitled, “An Excellent Spirit" from a training workshop he developed in the year 2000. a module used in workshops and sessions in the community and churches across the country. His 2nd book "Pearl Casting" was written in 2023.
Bishop Seals remains active in the community by serving on boards and committees in various Business, Education and Governmental entities throughout the Hampton Roads region. In 2017, Dwane was the proud recipient of the Urban League of Hampton Roads, Leadership and Community Service Award. He was consecrated to the office of the Bishop in 2018 by the hand of Archbishop Ralph L. Dennis and Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministries.
Bishop Seals is the founder of “ExCEL” a Virginia non-profit corporation to help empower people of influence and meet the needs within the community. In 2020, Dr. Seals established the ExCEL Bible Institute, a ministry school of higher learning that provides academic, ministry and leadership training for all.
In addition to his ministerial experiences, from 1987 -2007, Dwane worked successfully in sales, management and administration in the business community for two Fortune 500 companies. He entered into full time ministry after 20 years of faithfully serving in corporate America and within the local church. He has earned both a B.S. degree in Business Management and Administration and a Doctoral degree in Christian Education. He also is a certified trainer with Leadership Training International and Momentum Makers, both curriculums are designed to train and equip leaders for maximum success.
Dwane and his wife Erla were married on October 15, 1988 in Hampton, Virginia. His wife, Erla Seals, is a registered nurse and hospital staff development educator. They are the proud parents of 5 children.
Pastor Seals has ministered at churches and conferences nation-wide. He has a heart of compassion to empower Leaders for their service to God and to people, so that the mission is fulfilled and
souls are added to the ever-advancing kingdom of God.
